At Controlpack, we are deeply committed to social initiatives, and on this occasion, we would like to share our experience of actively participating in Gran Recapte 2024, which took place from November 22 to 23 and concluded on December 5. During this campaign, we provided specialized machinery to the Barcelona Food Bank, with the aim of improving efficiency in the process of sorting the food collected.
With the help of our machinery, volunteers working in the processing warehouse were able to carry out their work more efficiently, which was crucial for organizing more than 1,150,000 kilos of food for people in need. This logistical support was essential in improving the speed and accuracy of sorting, facilitating the distribution of food to more than 1,200 collection points throughout the province of Barcelona.
Despite the challenges we have faced over the past year, such as rising commodity prices and the impact of Hurricane DANA, the Gran Recapte food drive has been a success, achieving results similar to those of the previous edition. This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the Food Bank, its volunteers, and everyone who participated in the campaign.
At Controlpack, we are proud to have been able to collaborate in this noble cause, making our machinery available to facilitate the sorting process. We reaffirm our commitment to Gran Recapte and we firmly intend to continue collaborating in future editions to continue supporting those who need it most.
