Controlpack collaborates with the food bank for the Gran Recapte.

The Gran Recapte is a key campaign for Food Banks, where all the food collected is donated to entities that can provide people with basic food for a period of approximately 3 months. This year the 14th edition was held in a mixed format where you could donate food in person or contribute money for food through the website. November 25, 26 and 27 were set for physical food collections in supermarkets and markets throughout Catalonia. From November 25 to December 6 was the period available for people to make donations at the cash registers of the establishments or through the website.

Controlpack contributes its grain of sand in this solidary cause

Controlpack wanted to collaborate with the Food Bank of Barcelona in this campaign and decided to lend them two Rotoplat balers on a voluntary and non-profit basis.

In this way, with the two baling machines they were able to speed up the logistical process of packaging the products and, also, they baled all the pallets of products to later transfer them to the entities with which they collaborate, so that these are the ones that take care of distributing all the food among the people who need it.

It fills us with joy and pleasure to be able to contribute to social causes as important as this one and to be able to help in any way possible.

A successful edition

Year after year, this campaign is a great success, which ends up generating a lot of help for many people who need it. Once this edition is over, we can say that it went very well, where more than 2,400 full pallets of food were baled , more than 800,000 kg of food were collected and more than 3,500 people came to collaborate.
