Today, sustainability plays a key role in everyone's life. At Controlpack, we follow the bases that define the sustainable concept: satisfying present needs without compromising those of future generations and promoting a balance between environmental, social and economic aspects.

To achieve this goal, we have long been exploring alternatives such as bioplastics or compostable materials, optimizing the resources used to achieve improvements in terms of efficiency, promoting the use of renewable energies and reducing the use of conventional plastics to reduce the carbon footprint - such as the use of efficient equipment and LED lighting systems, solar panels, solar energy - and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

To achieve this feat, the company has created different types of objects that act in harmony with nature: from strapping to paper film such as cardboard strapping, PET strapping and biodegradable film.

CARDBOARD STRAPPING

One of the most relevant innovations has been the change from plastic to cardboard, as we can see with cardboard strapping.

We are leaving behind non-recyclable and non-recyclable plastic in favor of cardboard in terms of recyclability -especially in the recycling process of strapping and corner pieces-, creating improvements in terms of biodegradation, or for health reasons -being less bacteria-carrying and less polluting than standard film-.

PET FLEECE

When we talk about this material, we refer to its importance in terms of complete tax exemption due to its creation from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic. In addition, its structure has the same characteristics as a normal strap: high elasticity and resistance to breakage, rigidity in application and good manageability.

BIODEGRADABLE FILM (BIO-V)

We also found one of our best-selling products, the Bio-V biodegradable film. This is a new step in the commitment to reduce waste generation when manufacturing traditional packaging, with the same characteristics. The difference lies in the drastic reduction of pollution.

In addition to film, we have other types of Bio-V biodegradable plastic packaging: stretch film, bags and sheets.
