Macroplat is a turntable stretch wrapper with integrated perforating station for the production and subsequent application of film with holes on the palletized load.
This new pallet wrapping concept has been specially designed to be adapted to production sectors where perishable loads are handled (meat and sausages, canned and frozen foods, dairy and desserts, fruit and vegetables, bakery and pastries) that require ventilation during transport from the logistics center to the final point of sale.
In these industrial sectors, products are palletized at low temperatures, and if thermal equilibrium is not rapid, moisture and condensation problems occur, damaging the product and weakening its cardboard packaging. In addition, many of these products go through cooling tunnels after palletizing to cool them before transport. With macro-perforated film, this process is accelerated because the perforated material offers less insulation than conventional stretch film and freezing/cooling is achieved in less time, increasing production and reducing energy costs.
In the dairy and other milk derivatives sector (yougur, cheese, butter, sauces) there is an additional problem of condensation that can cause damage to the final product. These preparations, due to their production process, leave the fermentation equipment at a high temperature. When they are palletized, there is a brutal thermal imbalance between the hot product, which is subjected to a cooling process for better preservation. With the macro-perforated film, the product is naturally oxygenated, without any thermal insulation, and without damaging the product (mold, fungi and other toxins).
The palletizing process with macro-perforated film offers an important advantage in terms of costs and savings compared to other systems (strapping+cantonera). With the incorporation of this material, the customer obtains a guaranteed saving per packed unit, in addition to a more aesthetic and more ecological palletizing (less waste generation).
Macroplat allows two perforation formats in the film, depending on the ventilation needs of the load, which makes it a very versatile machine that allows complete automation of the packaging workstation.
